Comes with 2 mags, 2 grip-sleeves (large and small) 2 magazine extender plates, a massively overkill lock and an instruction manual. Pretty bassic, but it’s an inexpensive gun.

Just Wiki’ed it. Fixed barrel with a full slide on a .22 - weird.

If I were doing a Ruger .22 of any sort if would probably be a mark series, but if you like it, it’s good.

Rectangular edges and slots. It looks like it has enough random slots to be used as a cheese grater.

It’s “just about right” for a utility/plinking (as opposed to taget) .22 automatic, I’d say. It’s notably heavier than the lightest of the little polymer-frame pistols, but it moves and points well, the balance is excellent and the grip angle is just right. It draws quick and the controls are all in the right place, unless you have really big hands, which I don’t. Its solid, without being weighty, and quick without being wispy. The weight is really one of the things that drew me to it. As well as it’s reputation for digesting variable ammo without complaint.

.22 Long Rifle. Nope, I think it’s got just about exactly the right number of rectangular edges. It looks modern without being too SciFi (*cough* Beretta NEOS *cough*) and all those edges actually make it really easy to handle, it’s not a slippery gun.

mostly for a plinker, but it’s slim and light, easy to tote. Points and draws well. I know a lot of people will question the idea of .22 for carry, but It’ll safely stop anything a .38 will at close range, and it cheaper and more accurate than a 9mm thats as light and compact. Also cheaper to plink with than anything centerfire. See the charts below, and the linked research ...

To each their own I guess, I wouldn’t want to carry anything smaller than .380 (daily is 9mm). I do like the theory of don’t depend on a firearm you can’t handle weak hand only though.

I shot the M&P22 recently and it was a decent enough little plinker, just too small for my hands.

Don’t mind if I do.

How do we reconcile space/time travel and infinite mass as you approach the speed of light? Can we bend space/time as we approach the speed of light? Is the speed of light the actually speed limit in the universe?

A good question! I don’t reconcile it, I submit to the experimental data that indicates our Current Model precludes space/time travel in “normal” space without a souce of infinite energy. I suspect the speed of light is indeed the maximum velocity at which real matter can travel, however quantum physics raises questions about virtual matter or information-only transmission at speeds greater than light, and thus the possibility of effecting movement at greater-than-light speeds while *NOT ACTUALLY* exceeding the speed of light with any real matter. The experimental data suggests that it’s not so much “can we” as “how much do we” bend spacetime as real matter approaches C...

A little bit, I guess, in that they both have very rectangular full-length slides and a picatinny accessory rail under the muzzle... The grip shape and angle are quite different, and I like the exposed hammer on the SR22.

No question. I haven’t shot one setup like that. My dad has a .22 with a scope and a long barrel for hunting. It’s a ton of fun for shooting targets or even squirrel.

I’ve also known a few guys to carry .22 daily. Seems like a nice, lightweight option. Of all of them I’ve talked to they all reference the same links you did. So it seems convincing.

It is kinda exactly that. I do have legitemate uses on the farm; for euthanasia, livestock protection, and varmint-dispatch, but I absolutely know what you mean.

Guns are cool, they are nifty little machines, shooting is a very satisfying sport, it requires concentration, knowledge, and physical control. But if you aren’t hunting or in the army or law enforcement it can certainly been seen as wasteful/silly/unneeded. I get that.
